The Center for Asian Research is served by four councils divided by region: Northeast Asia (North Korea, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan), South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka) and Southeast Asia (Myanmar/Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Brunei, Indonesia and Timor-Leste), and China. Each council is comprised of faculty, graduate students, and associates who teach courses on their respective regions and who represent various disciplines.
