Protection from the Wind “Byobu” Japanese Decorative Screens

Using several screens from the collection of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, and from his own collection, Roger Dunn will discuss the structure, function, and history of the Japanese Screen, including a brief reference to some of the main artistic schools.
This gallery talk is a part of Japan in Global Context, a three-year project funded by Japan Foundation.
The project is organized by Arizona State University, along with Phoenix Art Museum and other Arizona institutions. This talk is hosted by Asian Arts Council of Phoenix Art Museum
