Guilford A. Dudley Memorial Prize for Excellence in Asian Studies

Scholarship information

Guilford A. Dudley was a professor of history at Arizona State University for 16 years, introduced Asian Studies to ASU, and was the founding director of the Center for Asian Studies. This memorial fund was established by his colleagues and friends to remember Guil and his passion for Asian history. The award aims to recognize the highest achieving student in any field of Asian Studies.

Amount: $1,200

Criteria

  1. Any students with a major in a field related to Asian Studies will be eligible to apply.
  2. Must submit one-page motivation or cover letter.
  3. Must submit a letter of support from a faculty member at ASU.

Additional criteria: Students must have declared a major in a field related to Asian Studies and the undergraduate or graduate student recipient will be selected based on academic excellence.
