Asia Mediated: Education Research Internship

The Center for Asian Research is currently accepting applications for two internship positions for the Spring semester of 2020. All application materials will be due on December 31st, 2020. Please email Asia@asu.edu with any questions.

Internship description

The Education Research Intern will develop lesson plans based on existing modules from interdisciplinary studies relating to Asia. The intern will design engaging and innovative lessons utilizing existing teaching materials and technologies for online instruction. This will be a semester-long internship with work hours up to 10 hrs/week. Barrett Student may qualify for Bidstrup Foundation award of $2,000. Other student may receive center funding of $500. This position may be possible to renew depending on funding availability.

The effective digital learning objective of the internship are:

  • Gaining hands-on experience with lesson-plan writing and technology-based lessons using popular edtechs.
  • Developing communication and interpersonal skills with the content creators/professors.
  • Florishing the deep understanding of instructional design and effective digital learning experiences.

The Intern will work closely with the Center's Director, Dr. Juliane Schober, to identify and implement key learning objective and outcome for this curriculum development. The intern will also have the opportunity to explore different technology platforms for the modules.
